Charles Milcendeau (1872 - 1919) was one of the greatest draughtsmen of the late 19th century.

He lived right here, at Bois Durant in Soullans, his "Sacred Wood". Enjoy a moment out of time in the patio and paths of his garden.

It features over 80 works, some of which have never been exhibited before, as well as a temporary exhibition in 2025 entitled "Milcendeau, La fabrique d'un artiste", with objects from the Musée d'Orsay and Gustave Moreau. The museum also includes the artist's house, a listed historic monument, and offers a varied programme including tours, workshops and free events.
